Neurology consultations are available in English and Portuguese. Appointments are offered in person at our Lisbon clinic and online.

The Neurology Department brings together physicians from multiple specialties, allowing us to address each case comprehensively:

  • Dr. Giovanni Leoni — a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician specializing in functional recovery and pain control.
  • Dr. Anastasia Ilchenko — an Internal Medicine physician with expertise in complex diagnostics and comorbid conditions.
  • Catarina Rodrigues — a specialist in chronic pain management (algologist).

Yes. Neurology consultations are available online, so you do not necessarily need to visit the clinic for an initial assessment or to discuss examination results.

Yes. The specialists work with the consequences of nervous system injuries and strokes and can involve physical and rehabilitation medicine specialists when necessary.

Can I see a neurologist for numbness or tingling in my arms or legs?

Yes. These symptoms can have different causes. During the consultation, the doctor will assess your symptoms and, if necessary, recommend additional examinations to determine the cause.

Can chronic pain be treated within the neurology department?

Yes. The department includes specialists in chronic pain treatment and physical and rehabilitation medicine. Depending on the cause, treatment may include medication, therapeutic nerve blocks, injections, and rehabilitation methods.

Can a teenager see a neurologist?

Yes. Dr. Olga Sulimko sees adult patients and teenagers aged 16 and over.

Do the specialists speak English, and is Russian-language assistance available?

Yes, all clinic staff, as well as the specialists in the department, speak English. If you do not speak English, we can provide a medical coordinator to translate for you free of charge. We also have Russian-speaking specialists.
